Customs permits
Guaranteed permits
A customs authorisation can offer financial benefits. Under certain schemes, import duties do not have to be paid immediately, or indeed at all. This strengthens your position in the market. However, this benefit comes with a significant administrative burden.
If the paperwork is incorrect or incomplete, customs may still reclaim the import duties – including interest. Flevo Trade Service assists companies with applying for, setting up and maintaining customs authorisations.

A permit in practice
Authorizations such as Inward Processing, End-Use, or Customs Warehouse are designed to stimulate economic activity within the European Union. They allow goods to be imported, processed, or stored under certain conditions without immediately paying import duties. That sounds straightforward. In reality, it means that every movement of goods must be recorded administratively and periodically accounted for to customs.
If the records are not correct, customs may still reclaim import duties. Including retrospective corrections. That is why our service does not stop at the application stage. It is precisely the management that follows that determines whether a license actually yields a benefit.
Applying for a license is just one step. Effectively managing the scheme requires knowledge of customs legislation, experience with inspections, and an understanding of administrative coherence.
From application to management
We first assess whether a permit fits your goods flow and business operations. We then guide the application process and set up the administrative side, ensuring it aligns with customs requirements.
Once the permit has been issued, the ongoing maintenance begins. This includes monitoring goods flows, preparing periodic reports, and providing support during inspections. The administration is recorded in a structured way, so that in the event of an inspection, it is immediately clear how the process has been handled.
