Customs documentation
Error-free documentation
Documentation forms the basis of every import and export process. A customs declaration may be correct in substance, but if the supporting documents do not match, this can lead to queries, delays or subsequent corrections.
Proper documentation and record-keeping ensure clarity for customs authorities and prevent problems from only coming to light once goods are already in transit.

Accurate documentation
Customs documentation involves more than just filling in details. Documents must correspond to the goods, the transport, any permits or certificates, and the chosen customs procedure. Even a minor discrepancy in the product description, quantity, or origin can be enough to trigger additional questions or checks. This leads to delays and extra work afterward.
When documents are drawn up separately or are not recorded consistently, confusion arises. Many companies operate under customs authorizations such as End-Use, Inward Processing, Customs Warehouse, and AEO. These authorizations are subject to conditions, such as monthly or periodic reporting to customs.
If documentation is not properly maintained, customs may still reclaim import duties during an inspection. This applies even when importing at 0 percent.
That is why we ensure that declarations, authorization records and supporting documents are consistent with one another.
Completely hassle-free
Customs may carry out retrospective checks on declarations and the associated records. If documentation is not in order, this may lead to corrections or additional charges. You must be able to demonstrate how a consignment was declared, which procedure applies, which duties have been paid or are exempt, and how the records have been kept.
Working with a customs authorization, therefore, involves more than simply submitting declarations. We handle the periodic reporting to customs in the form of a clearance statement. In addition, we monitor the permitted limits within your authorization so that you do not unexpectedly exceed the set quantities. Have you received a notice of an audit? Then we will provide the complete records in a structured and digital format.
